What’s your favourite thing about your workplace?
My favorite thing about Nion is definitely the colleagues and the strong sense of community. Even though we recently merged three companies into one, the familial atmosphere remains. Additionally, I appreciate the company’s focus on competence development and knowledge sharing. We frequently explore technologies beyond our main areas. For example, a colleague from North Macedonia recently led a session on authentication.
Tell us more about being an IT Consultant. What does it mean to you personally?
Being a consultant means constantly staying at the top of your game. You must demonstrate your expertise, maintain professionalism, and communicate clearly with customers. Since you represent your company, you are expected to deliver value by quickly adapting to new assignments. Moreover, the role is diverse—each project brings something new, ensuring it never feels monotonous.
Has your role evolved over the years?
Over the past four years at Nion, I have worked both in-house and onsite with customers. While my main focus is Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Warehousing, I often take on related tasks. For instance, I am currently using C# to generate SQL code, which allows me to expand my skill set even further. Thanks to Nion’s strong emphasis on competence development, I’ve had the opportunity to deepen my expertise across multiple areas.
Do you have a unique problem-solving approach that makes an impact?
One of my biggest strengths is learning quickly. I always ask questions and seek clarification to fully understand customer needs. This approach not only saves time but also leads to better solutions. Furthermore, I take a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, ensuring my solutions are clear and easy for others to understand. Most importantly, I am persistent—I never give up until I find the right answer.
Any part of your experience you’d like to share with our network?
I adapt easily to new teams and work well with different personalities. Being part of a team is something I truly value, whether it’s collaborating with clients or working alongside fellow consultants. Additionally, I believe in building strong, long-term relationships, as they are essential for success in any professional environment.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my free time, I enjoy working out, watching soccer, and reading to relax. I also love spending time with friends and family.
Anything you’d like to share with our audience, future Nionits, or potential clients?
The Nion journey is just beginning, and we are heading in the right direction. Employees have great opportunities for competence development, which benefits both them and our clients. Most importantly, our slogan, “We make IT easy,” perfectly reflects our approach—we simplify IT solutions and deliver them without unnecessary complexity.
