Nion has completed the acquisition of Middlecon, a Stockholm-based consultancy with deep experience in data management, Big Data, AI/ML, and enterprise data platforms. Founded in 2010, Middlecon delivers tailored solutions that help organisations collect, structure, integrate, and analyse large and complex data sets, supported by strategic advisory services, data pipeline optimisation and predictive analytics.
“Middlecon is a good strategic fit for Nion,” says Johan von Arronet, CEO of Nion. “They bring deep specialist competence and long experience from demanding data engagements. Combined with Nion’s delivery model and scale, this gives us a stronger platform to support customers with growing complexity in their data and analytics needs.”
Middlecon contributes expertise in data integration, big data platforms, AI/ML, and enterprise infrastructure, including established positions within the IBM and Cloudera ecosystems and proprietary solutions. Combined with Nion’s strengths in cloud, analytics, and scalable delivery, this broadens the scope of assignments Nion can support and the responsibility it can take across data-driven initiatives. With Middlecon now part of Nion, the company continues to develop a diversified organisation with a clear focus on application development, data, AI, and scalable delivery, supporting sustainable growth over time.
