A Year of Nion

A year ago, we became Nion. Have we ever told you the story of how that came to be?

It’s a good story – one about building something great in three places, but then realising it can be even better.

First, there were three. Three companies with rock-solid reputations, loyal clients, and people-oriented company cultures – each with their own way of doing things, but a common vision.

A common client vision: business value first, excellence in technology, consultants as trusted advisors, close client collaboration. A common people-centric approach: great people build the company from within if we understand their needs and motivation.

Then came a thought: what if we could bring together the best parts of each, and create something even stronger, more flexible, and more future-ready?

The Merger

When the three companies joined forces, we called ourselves “New Group”. It was a placeholder name for the in-between phase and a time of learning each other’s rhythms, finding common values, and imagining what kind of company we truly wanted to be.

And then, the answer became clear. We didn’t just want to be “new.” We wanted to be Nion: as in Technology Companion. A name that would stand for connection, collaboration, and forward motion.

The Rebranding

Rebranding wasn’t just about a name or a logo, but about shaping a shared identity. We built our brand around the core values that our three companies shared: collaborative, dedicated, and innovative. The personality we wanted to project: friendly, encouraging, straightforward.

Working to share our mutual identity, we decided our purpose is to simplify digital journeys, acting as a companion from start to finish. We allow clients to reclaim their time and focus, enabling them to accelerate and grow. Ultimately, their success is our success. With our size, capabilities and collective of brilliant minds, we provide digital solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. Simply put, we make IT easy. And this is how we landed on our mantra.

Being this flexible, innovative, easy-to-work-with tech companion, made us Nion: Next-Level, International, One-Team, Nimble.

The Future

One year later, Nion has grown in every way – more clients, more consultants, more collaborations across borders. We’ve built and delivered agile teams that combine on-site expertise with nearshore excellence. And we will continue doing it with the same belief that started it all: that something good can always become even better.
