Gordana Badarovska – iOS Developer

Life as an IT Consultant at Nion is about more than just code—it’s about variety, collaboration, and meaningful problem-solving. Gordana, iOS developer at Nion, brings a strong development background that has evolved into a more strategic role, including mentorship and project leadership. Her journey reflects a commitment to growth—personal, professional, and client-focused. Let’s explore her story.

What’s your favourite thing about your workplace?

What I really love about my workplace is the people and the positive culture they create. Everyone’s friendly, supportive, and genuinely wants to see each other succeed. It makes it a lot easier to stay motivated and do great work when you’re in an environment where you feel like you belong.

What does life as an IT Consultant at Nion mean to you? Tell us more.

For me, being an IT consultant is all about variety and growth. No two projects are the same, which means I’m constantly learning and adapting. I enjoy the challenge of solving problems in different contexts and collaborating with teams that bring new perspectives. Consulting gives me the chance to apply my skills in a meaningful way—helping clients succeed while growing professionally and personally.

Has your role evolved over the years?

Definitely. I started out mainly focused on technical development, sharpening my skills as a developer. Over time, though, my role has become much more strategic. I’ve taken on more responsibility—mentoring others, leading projects from start to finish, and building long-term relationships with clients. That shift has been incredibly rewarding.

What’s your approach to problem-solving?

I wouldn’t say it’s unique, but I believe in solving the right problem. That means taking time to understand the issue at its core—identifying root causes, researching thoroughly, and stepping back to see the bigger picture. Sometimes the best solution is simple, other times more complex. Either way, the key is in knowing what you’re really solving.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with friends and family is a big part of how I recharge. Whether it’s grabbing dinner or just catching up, it always helps me unwind. I’m also an avid reader—especially mystery novels. During the colder months, there’s nothing better than curling up with a good book.

Any final thoughts to share with future Nionits or potential clients?

If you’re thinking about joining the team—go for it. Nion is full of amazing people and offers real opportunities to grow. And to our clients: working with Nion means more than just hiring technical experts. It means partnering with consultants who care deeply about your goals and are committed to helping you succeed.
