Onboarding at Nion: A Real Welcome

Starting somewhere new can be scary, but it doesn't always have to be.

My onboarding process at Nion has been incredibly smooth and well-structured. From day one, everyone has been supportive, approachable, and eager to help me settle in. I especially appreciate how welcoming and collaborative the culture is—it really made me feel like part of the team right away.

What would happen if…

Imagine starting a new role. You got no laptop set up, no introductions, no clue where anything is — or who to ask when something goes wrong. Even worse, what if nobody explains what your role is, your responsibilities, or how the teams function? The first days could feel confusing, overwhelming, and isolating. Months, even years could go by without you properly knowing your place in the big company picture. This is why proper onboarding at a company makes all the difference.

How we do it

We have designed our onboarding process to make sure none of that ever happens. From day one, every new colleague is welcomed with structure, clarity, and support (here’s proof). Every detail is covered, from introductions to the office and teammates, to guidance on daily routines, tools, and workflows. There’s always someone to turn to, ensuring the first steps into the company feel smooth and manageable.

The process goes beyond logistics. New teammates meet the people who will guide their personal and professional development, receive clear information about their role and benefits, and get support setting up laptops, accounts, and the tools they’ll need to succeed. This allows them to focus on connecting, contributing, and learning from day one.

Interactive team sessions and informal introductions make it easy to understand not just workflows, but values, collaboration, and where individual strengths shine. Thoughtful touches like personal welcomes, check-ins, and ongoing support, create a strong foundation for growth, collaboration, and lasting connections.

At Nion, onboarding is never confusing, never intimidating—it’s a welcome. By supporting each other, celebrating progress, and learning together, every new colleague starts their journey with confidence and a true sense of belonging.

If you want to experience an onboarding that actually works, one that guides, supports, and connects you, your place may be waiting here.
