Olle Lindgren, Software Engineer Consultant in Göteborg, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for technology to Nion. Starting as an integration specialist, Olle has transitioned into backend leadership, focusing on application development, system design, and coding. His journey reflects a commitment to growth, collaboration, and innovation. Let’s dive into his story.
From Integration Specialist to Backend Leadership
Have you always been an IT Consultant, or has your role changed over the years?
I have always worked as a consultant, but my assignments have varied—from in-house projects to working directly with clients. I started as an integration specialist, but now my focus is primarily on application development, with a strong emphasis on backend lead, code focus and system design.
A Diverse Background in Tech
Would you like to share any of your previous work experience?
I’ve gained a wide variety of skills and experiences, always eager to learn new technologies and step outside my comfort zone. One of my first projects involved replacing a costly legacy service with a modern, cost-efficient solution. It was a challenging but rewarding experience that motivated me to dig deeper into complex problems. I’ve also worked extensively with cloud technologies, both building solutions specifically for the cloud and using it as a hosting platform. One of my application development projects even made it to the Top 3 in the App Store!
What Unique Skills Do You Bring to Nion?
I bring a balanced blend of deep technical knowledge and collaborative leadership to Nion. A modern consultant needs more than just technical expertise—while I love coding, I also focus on the bigger picture, building networks, fostering teamwork, and ensuring strong team output. Understanding customer needs and staying agile are equally important to me, allowing me to bridge the gap between technology and business value.
Why Did You Choose to Join Nion?
I was drawn to Nion’s local presence and the opportunity to be part of a smaller office while still benefiting from a larger network across other locations. I appreciate the chance to contribute to building the company culture. In the future, I’m excited to explore more DevOps-related roles, and I see Nion as a place with many opportunities for growth in this area.
Goals for the First 100 Days
My initial focus was to get to know my colleagues and connect with other parts of the company, which I started during the October kick-off. Now, I’m fully focused on delivering value to my customer. Moving forward, I aim to identify new challenges and contribute to team growth and collaboration.
Life Outside of Work
Just like in my professional life, I enjoy learning new things. Recently, I’ve been exploring espresso and coffee—experimenting with different machines and practicing latte art. I also love spending time with my family and going on weekend adventures.
Olle’s dedication to growth, collaboration, and innovation makes him a valuable addition to the Nion team. We are excited to see his contributions and continued success in backend leadership and system design!
